There will be, barring some unforeseen political maneuvers, national elections on October 27, 2026. Maybe we’ll conveniently be at war again with Hamas or Hezbollah or Iran, and you obviously can’t hold elections during such a period of chaos, in which, naturally, only Netanyahu can save us.
In today’s poll, Eisenkot has lost his two seat advantage and tied with Netanyahu’s Likud; the Opposition parties are too busy infighting to realize that they will barely scratch 61 at this point. No one should feel shocked or disheartened, every time someone announces a party, their shiny new thing remains popular for a week or two, and then starts collapsing.
The polls mean virtually nothing, they will hold only slightly more significance the week before the elections.
At one point, “Can’t we all just get along” Ganz had close to 30 mandates in the polling, now he doesn’t even pass the minimum threshold. Ganz is the kind of failed politician who has a permanent “Kick Me” sign attached to his back.
Together (Bennett/Lapid) rode a wave of positive press after their announcement, they are now running a pathetic third.
The only party maintaining status quo is Likud, because they happily accepted their lobotomies and will vote for Netanyahu, even as he sends their sons and daughters to die in his endless wars.

Approximately 70,000 Ultra-Orthodox men are currently eligible for service, and now, if they ignore their draft notice, nothing will be done, there will be no consequences.
Before the Parliamentary Summer Break, the Knesset voted 53-48 for a sweeping anti-Democratic media overhaul, which will significantly expand and strengthen government control over Israel’s broadcast media and news sector. The bill removes longstanding oversight mechanisms, minimal journalistic standards and restrictions on cross ownership/ monopoly issues.

PM Netanyahu, one of whose indictments relates to media control and manipulation, did in fact participate in this debate and voted. (No conflict of interest there, at all, nah!) He has, after all, removed one more major impediment that would potentially send him to jail, or at least exile him from the political stage.
In a 43-12 vote, the Knesset voted to extend mandatory army service from 30 to 32 months, despite the objection of the IDF. (They wanted 36 months, to account for the 17,000 army personnel shortfall they need to keep us citizens safe, right now.)
HRH Sara received an early Chanukah present as well, as the cabinet members approved taxpayer-funded security for the First Lady - technically the Third Lady - as long as her esteemed husband shall live and breathe. I presume, though I admit I haven’t read the entire decision, that includes Sara, her children and her styling team traveling on the governmental Prime Ministerial plane, Wing of Zion, whenever and wherever she wishes.
A personal international taxi service, for her safety and security, of course.
A motion to disperse the Parliament, conveniently incorporated into a party financing bill, passed 62-0 this morning, Friday.
Yisrael Beiteynu Chair Lieberman called the bid to abuse taxpayer money a “contemptible attempt to tie the end of the session to increasing party funding.”
Duh.
